Welcome to Book Drop Central. These Terms of Use govern your use of Book Drop Central, including its website, reader accounts, author accounts, book listings, wishlists, promotional services, and related features.
By using Book Drop Central, creating an account, or submitting content, you agree to these Terms.
About Book Drop Central
Book Drop Central is a book discovery and promotional platform designed to help readers discover books from independent, self-published authors, and traditionally published authors, including books that authors identify as currently free.
Book Drop Central is not a bookseller of the books listed on the platform. Book purchases, downloads, pricing, refunds, delivery, and other retailer transactions take place through independent third-party retailers. Book Drop Central separately sells promotional services to authors.
Reader Accounts
Readers may create a free Book Drop Central reader account to use features such as saving books to a wishlist and managing account information.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity occurring through your account.
You must provide accurate information when creating or updating an account.
Author Accounts
Authors may create accounts for submitting and managing eligible books and promotional activity.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all information they submit is accurate and that they possess the necessary rights to submit and display the material.
Creating an author account does not guarantee that a submitted book will be accepted or published.
Book Submissions
Book Drop Central reviews submitted books before publication.
We may approve, reject, request changes to, or remove a submission at our discretion when necessary to enforce our policies or maintain the quality and operation of the service.
Authors retain ownership of their books and submitted content.
By submitting book covers, descriptions, author biographies, and related materials, you grant Book Drop Central a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, resize, format, and use those materials as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the Book Drop Central service and the submitted listing.
This license ends when the content is permanently removed from Book Drop Central, except for copies reasonably retained in backups, records, or legal archives.
Accuracy of Book Information
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of submitted information, including:
book title, author name, genre, descriptions, release information, free-book status, retailer destinations, and other listing details.
Book Drop Central may correct formatting errors but is not responsible for verifying every statement made by an author.
Book Prices and Availability
Prices and promotions displayed or referenced on Book Drop Central may be supplied by authors or obtained from information available at the time a listing is created.
Retailer prices and availability may change without notice.
Book Drop Central does not control retailer pricing and does not guarantee that a book will still be free, discounted, available, or offered at any particular price when a reader visits a retailer.
Readers are responsible for confirming the current price before completing a purchase or download.
Retailer Links and Affiliate Relationships
Book Drop Central may provide links to Amazon, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, and other third-party retailers.
Some retailer links may be affiliate links. Book Drop Central may receive a commission or other compensation when a qualifying purchase occurs after a reader follows an eligible link.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Using an affiliate link does not increase the price paid by the reader.
Authors may not insert their own affiliate or referral tracking into URLs submitted to Book Drop Central. Book Drop Central may remove such tracking information.
Retailer Click Statistics
Book Drop Central may record outbound retailer clicks for operational, analytical, promotional, or author-reporting purposes.
Click counts are informational only. Book Drop Central does not guarantee that recorded clicks will result in downloads, purchases, reviews, followers, or other outcomes.
Promotional Services
Book Drop Central offers free Standard book listings and may offer optional paid promotional services, including Featured and Premium promotions.
Standard listings are free and do not expire. Paid promotional services may provide additional visibility or promotional benefits for a specified period. The availability, duration, placement, features, and pricing of paid promotional services may change.
Purchasing a promotional service does not guarantee any particular number of impressions, clicks, downloads, purchases, reviews, rankings, revenue, or other results.
All purchases of Book Drop Central promotional services are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
Refunds will not be provided because an author changes their mind, fails to submit a book, is dissatisfied with promotional results, or submits content that is rejected, suspended, or removed for violating Book Drop Central’s Terms, Content Policy, submission requirements, or other applicable policies.
If a payment was made in error, duplicated, or otherwise appears to involve a billing problem, the author should contact Book Drop Central so the issue can be reviewed.

Wishlists and Saved Books
Reader wishlist features are provided as a convenience.
Book Drop Central does not guarantee permanent storage of wishlist information and may modify, replace, or discontinue features as the service evolves.
Books may disappear from a wishlist if the underlying listing is removed or becomes unavailable.
Third-Party Websites
Book Drop Central contains links to websites and services operated by third parties.
We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, pricing, transactions, products, or policies.
Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.
Prohibited Use
You may not use Book Drop Central to interfere with the operation or security of the site, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, submit fraudulent information, impersonate another person, violate intellectual-property rights, manipulate site statistics, scrape or automate access in a manner that materially disrupts the service, or use the platform for unlawful purposes.
Use of Book Drop Central must also comply with our Content Policy.
Account Suspension or Termination
Book Drop Central may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Content Policy, applicable law, or site-security requirements.
We may also remove listings when necessary to protect the service or its users.
No Guarantee of Results
Book Drop Central provides discovery and promotional tools, but we cannot guarantee commercial success.
We make no guarantee regarding traffic, sales, downloads, rankings, reviews, mailing-list growth, reader engagement, or other promotional outcomes.
Service Availability
We work to keep Book Drop Central available and functioning properly, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.
Features may be added, changed, temporarily unavailable, or discontinued.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Book Drop Central and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service, third-party retailer transactions, loss of data, promotional results, or inability to access the website.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated as Book Drop Central develops new features or requirements.
The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
Continued use of Book Drop Central after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
