Content Policy

Book Drop Central is a discovery platform for independent and self-published books. Our goal is to help readers discover books while providing authors with a fair and accessible way to promote their work.
All books, descriptions, covers, retailer links, and other content submitted to Book Drop Central must comply with this Content Policy.
Acceptable Content
Book Drop Central welcomes books across a wide range of genres, audiences, viewpoints, and subject matter.
Books may include mature themes, violence, romance, controversial subjects, religious viewpoints, political viewpoints, or other challenging material when presented as part of legitimate literary, educational, historical, biographical, or informational content.
Acceptance of a book does not mean Book Drop Central endorses the book, author, opinions, claims, or viewpoints contained within it.
Prohibited Content
Book Drop Central may reject or remove content that includes or primarily promotes:
- Pornographic or sexually explicit material intended primarily for sexual gratification.
- Sexual content involving minors or the sexual exploitation of minors.
- Content that promotes, facilitates, or glorifies child abuse or exploitation.
- Graphic shock content submitted primarily to disturb, disgust, or provoke rather than serve a legitimate literary or informational purpose.
- Content that promotes or provides instructions for serious criminal activity, terrorism, or deliberate physical harm.
- Fraudulent, deceptive, impersonating, or intentionally misleading content.
- Copyright-infringing material or content the submitting author does not have the right to use.
- Book covers, images, descriptions, or other materials submitted without the necessary rights or permission.
- Malicious links, deceptive retailer links, or links intended to distribute malware or harmful software.
Book Drop Central reserves the right to determine whether submitted material is appropriate for the platform.
Book Covers and Submitted Materials
Authors must have the legal right to use every book cover, image, description, biography, and other piece of content they submit.
Submitting content to Book Drop Central gives Book Drop Central permission to display that material for the purpose of listing, promoting, and helping readers discover the submitted book.
Authors retain ownership of their work.
Retailer Links and Tracking Codes
Authors may provide links to legitimate retailer pages where readers can obtain or purchase their books.
Submitted retailer URLs must not contain affiliate tracking codes, referral codes, or other commission-generating identifiers belonging to the author or another third party.
Book Drop Central may remove tracking parameters from submitted URLs.
Book Drop Central may apply its own affiliate or referral tracking to eligible outbound retailer links. This does not change the price paid by the reader.
Pricing and Free-Book Status
Authors are responsible for accurately indicating whether a submitted book is currently free.
Book prices, promotions, and availability are controlled by third-party retailers and may change at any time.
Book Drop Central cannot guarantee that a book identified as free will remain free or available.
Readers should always verify the current price and availability on the retailer’s website before completing a transaction.
Submission Review
Submission does not guarantee publication on Book Drop Central.
Book Drop Central may approve, reject, edit, suspend, or remove a listing when necessary to enforce this policy, maintain site quality, correct technical issues, or protect readers and other users.
Minor formatting or presentation changes may be made without altering the meaning of the author’s submitted material.
Policy Violations
Listings that violate this Content Policy may be rejected or removed without notice.
If a paid promotional service is associated with content that violates this policy, Book Drop Central may terminate the promotion. Payments associated with material that violates this policy may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.
Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension or termination of an author’s Book Drop Central account.
Reporting Content
If you believe a listing violates this policy, infringes your rights, or contains unlawful material, please contact Book Drop Central through the site’s Contact page and include enough information for us to identify and review the content.
