Book Description

An unexpected homecoming brings new possibilities for two longtime friends in this autumn romance set in North Carolina’s mountain country.

Emily Carmichael has built a life away from Splendid Lake, but news of trouble at a familiar family orchard draws her back to the community she once called home. Jake Hughes, her childhood friend, is facing the possible loss of a business that represents generations of his family’s history.

Determined to help, Emily joins Jake in planning a celebration marking the orchard’s hundredth anniversary. Their efforts offer an opportunity to attract attention to the struggling property, but the challenges facing the business won’t disappear simply because the community comes together.

Working alongside each other also brings an unexpected change to Emily and Jake’s relationship. Years of friendship have given them a comfortable familiarity, yet returning to old routines reveals feelings that neither has fully acknowledged.

Their growing attraction becomes more complicated as the orchard’s financial troubles continue and someone from Jake’s romantic past reenters his life. What began as Emily’s effort to help an old friend soon raises difficult questions about where she belongs and what kind of future she wants.

Against a backdrop of apple harvests, family traditions, and changing seasons, Emily and Jake discover that protecting something precious may require taking chances in their personal lives as well.

Candy Apple Kisses explores friendship, homecoming, family heritage, and the possibility of finding lasting love where it was least expected.

*Candy Apple Kisses* is a heartwarming contemporary romance about coming home, preserving family traditions, and discovering that sometimes love has been waiting in a familiar place all along.
